Words are More Magical than Magic

We experience a range of emotions—happiness, excitement, surprise, anxiety, sadness, and depression—all through the power of words.

I once told a friend during a badminton game, "I don’t ever sweat no matter how much I play, just like a pig. I hate my body." I stopped her and said, "Don’t ever degrade yourself, no matter how bad you feel. Your mind will accept it and make you feel that way. If we don’t see ourselves as good and powerful, who else will? Compare yourself with the best things you’ve seen and felt, not the worst." My words had an instant effect on her. She realized and said, "Yes, I will never compare myself with bad things and will think positively about myself." It was powerful, and we both knew it.

Whenever I get worried, stressed, or anxious, I just want to see my husband and hear him say that he is there for me and will take care of me. Every time I feel stuck and anxious, he hugs me and says the word "RELAX." I feel that word, and I can sense my brain easing. I can breathe easier and believe in the moment.

Everyone speaks, talks, and says a lot of things, but only a few words leave a strong impact on us. I believe that whatever reaches us are the right words. There was a time when I felt lost and unsure of my path, but I found strength in Allah SWT’s words in the Quran. His words guided me through tough times and helped me grow stronger. I believe that every word we say will either hit us or heal us. Negative words tear us apart, but positive words build us back stronger. Not only I, but every reader of this article can see themselves becoming weaker, better, and stronger with time, people, and situations. I believe that words said at the right time, place, and situation are more powerful than any force. They can start or stop wars. Deciding the right words to speak is a major part of our communication. As Prophet Muhammad (SWT) said, "The best among you are those who have the best manners and character." This emphasizes the importance of speaking positively and kindly. He also said, "A good word is charity" (Sahih Muslim). These words can be a source of immense strength and comfort, helping us navigate through life's trials with grace and positivity.

Whenever I face difficult times, I remind myself of Allah's (SWT) wisdom that life is a series of tests and that everything in this world is temporary. This understanding empowers me to stay resilient and embrace life's challenges with strength and faith. Positive words, spoken at the right time, can uplift our spirits and provide the encouragement we need to persevere.

Every positive word I have heard from people who want me to grow and be happy fills me with gratitude for having them in my life. Their encouragement and kindness are blessings that uplift my spirit. To those who have tried to break me and make me weak, know that I possess an inner strength beyond measure. This strength comes from my unwavering faith in my Lord's words, the Quran, the unwavering support of my husband, and my trust in myself. These sources of strength empower me to rise above challenges and continue to grow with resilience and positivity.

I firmly believe that the power of words can surpass even the greatest physical strength. Through my words, I aspire to make the world a better place. Surrounding ourselves with positive words fosters peace and harmony, while negative words can disrupt and destroy it. Words hold an incredible power that can shape our emotions, thoughts, and actions. They can uplift us, provide comfort, and inspire us to be better. By choosing to speak positively and kindly, we can create a ripple effect of goodness in the world. Let us all strive to use our words wisely, to build each other up, and to foster a world filled with peace and harmony. Remember, the right words at the right time can make all the difference.
